Strap up for an outdoor adventure at the new Al Hudayriyat Island adventure village with Circuit X, one of the best kids’ activities in Abu Dhabi!

Circuit X is the newest must-visit destination for families with active kids in Abu Dhabi. It is located within the newly opened stunning beachside development of Al Hudayriyat Island. An outdoor adventure zone with a wide range of fun experiences, there are four exceptional action-packed parks: Splash Park, Skate Park, Ropes Park and BMX Park.
Our Editor Keri & her three kids The Globetrotters went along in December 2020 to check out the newly opened parks and give you the low down on what to expect at each of the adrenaline-packed attractions.
Our review here is specifically for the Ropes Park but we’ll walk you through what to expect at the other venues too.
Ropes Park at Circuit X
The ropes park at Circuit X offers three levels of high ropes challenges, plus 3 extra challenges you can add on. You can see a summary video here (courtesy of Our Globetrotters) or read on for the details!
High Ropes Course
For your kids 7 years+ (over 121cm), they can start with the Green Kids circuit which takes them on an introductory loop of different obstacles.

If they are confident, they can move on to the Blue Scout Circuit for their second lap (recommended for 11 years plus but my 8 and 10-year-old absolute flew around it in minutes). If your kids have had any ropes course experience, they are likely to find the high ropes course here relatively easy.

The Black Circuit at a rather breathtaking 10 metres above the ground is for your teens only 15-years-old+.

Freefall
The Freefall allows participants to plunge 13 metres to the ground in a controlled platform jump.

Zip line
A kids favourite, the zip line travels from the highest point in the ropes course 100 metres across the whole park.

Climbing wall
Last but not least, the climbing wall is open to kids from 110cm/6 years old. The 50ft high wall is certainly one of the most challenging open to kids in Abu Dhabi in the younger age group (Indoor centre Clymb has more walls but this one is definitely higher for your under 14’s).

Helpful and friendly staff are on hand throughout the park for safety, guidance and encouragement.
BMX Park at Circuit X
The BMX park includes a dirt trail as well as a pump track for kids to try out their moves. It is located in the same part of Circuit X as the Ropes Park.

Light bites and refreshments can be purchased at the check-in area.
Circuit X Ropes Park Cost
There are various different pricing packages for Circuit X depending on how many activities you’d like to participate in. The most popular is the Extreme Package which allows kids to tackle all the rope park attractions for 105AED. Two rounds of just the high ropes course is 55AED.
Circuit X BMX Park Cost
You can pay for a one or two hour package to simply use the track with your own bike and safety gear for:
- 1 hour 40AED
- 2 hours 60AED
Or if you don’t have your own kit, go for the X-UP package to borrow bike, helmet and PPE, all santized between each use for:
- 1 hour 80AED
- 2 hours 130 AED

Parties will also be offered as soon as COVID restrictions ease.
Circuit X Ropes Park & BMX Park opening Times
Winter Timings for Circuit X:
- Sunday to Thursday 11AM to 8PM
- Friday to Saturday 9AM to 9PM
- Public & School Holidays 9AM to 9PM
Summer Timings for Circuit X:
- Sunday to Thursday 3PM to 10PM

Pre-booking is a requirement during COVID restrictions, and we would recommend certainly school holiday afternoon/evenings and weekends you’ll want to book to guarantee a spot as there’s limited capacity how many climbers can be in the park at any one time.
Where to find Circuit X
Circuit X is part of the newly opened leisure facilities on Al Hudayriyat Island, a large island immediately to the west of Abu Dhabi city.
Access is from the bridge at the end of 19th Street, adjacent to Al Bateen Beach. Once you’ve crossed the pretty specactulat bridge, turn right at the first roundabout and simply follow the signs.
The Adventure Village area of the island include the Bab al Nojoum glamping complex and the huge dome of 321 Sports. You’ll see the large high ropes frame as you approach on your right, parking is in front and you’ll be looking for this little hut:

You can also simply type Circuit X into Google Maps.
There are no public transport options at present to Al Hudayriyat Island and no immediate taxi rank, though a taxi or Careem could easily be booked to pick you up. The rank is over at Marsana, too far to walk but they could come to you in just a few minutes.
Marsana – Skate Park & Splash Park
The central hub of Hudayriyat Island is focused on Marsana. Here you will find a wide selection of dining venues, a beach public beachfront, marina and change facilities, along with the Circuit X Splash Park and Skate Park.

Circuit X Skate Park
The Skate Park is an ideal place for kids to show off their moves in a safe environemnt. Note different timings by age group on weekends so even your younger ones can join in without feeling overwhelmed.

Circuit X Splash Park
(Closed at present due to COVID-19 restrictions)
Made for your smaller ones, The Splash Park combines climbing with splash play for a wonderful outdoor playground setting in the Middle East conditions.
